FAQs - Race Kits

When will I receive my Race Kit?

Race kits will be sent out progressively from February , 2013. Please allow at least 21 working days for delivery of your kit.

What should be included in my Race Kit?

Your race kit will include the following:

  • Race Number with safety pins
  • Timing Chip with ties to attach to shoes
  • Racebook

I have received my Race Kit, what do I do now?

Please check that your race number is identical to the timing chip number. If they are different, please contact the Race Office on 9292 2901, or entries@r4k.com.au

Then, please read all the information in the Race Book, as this will help you prepare for the day, and ensure that your day is enjoyable.

I haven't received my Race Kit, what do I do?

As there are 35,000 entrants, it takes several weeks to process all entrants.

If you have not received your Race Pack by March 16, please email the Race Office at entries@r4k.com.au. The Race office staff will verify your entry and advise how to obtain a duplicate race kit in time for the race.

I've lost my race number/timing chip. What do I do?

Both items are crucial to your participation in the event. If you are unable to locate either item, please email the Race Office at entries@r4k.com.au. The Race office staff will verify your entry and advise how to obtain a duplicate race kit in time for the race.

I am moving house, how do I stop my race pack from being sent to the wrong address?

To alter your details, please email entries@r4k.com.au, with your full name, the distance you have entered, and you old and new address

I have entered in the wrong colour zone, what do I do?

If you would like to run in a slower zone, you do NOT need to change your race number. Simply assemble in the slower zone on race day. The R4K Race office does not need to be notified.

Will there be a secure area for baggage?

Yes. As part of your race kit you have a baggage tag with your race bib which has your race number printed on it. Loop and secure this tag onto the bag you leave at the baggage area. The baggage area is located in the village close to the start line and colour-coded according to your start zone. You may leave your backpack.

The organisers are not responsible for any clothing left at the start. The organisers are similarly not responsible for lost items and you are advised to keep any money or important items with you at all times. Make sure you collect your bag after the race.
